The Sleeping Baby

Joshua spends quite a bit of time sleeping these days. Unfortunately, as evidenced in all of these pictures, he prefers to sleep in his parents' arms rather than his crib . . . so his parents aren't getting quite as much sleep as he is right now. We are enjoying snuggling our little cutie in our arms though!

Ethan was the same way. If you ever need a break, here are some tricks that worked for us... sleeping with a blanket or two so that they smelt like us. For the first few months Ethan slept in bed with us (between us by our heads) - this one obviously has many risks and is not recommended by any expert - but we got desperate. Another trick was the vibrating swing (we have a mini one to fit in that house you are more than welcome to borrow) that I would place him in to shower or cook dinner. Another friend uses a moses basket, swadles the baby tightly and surrounds the baby with rolled up blankets. A white noise machine also will usually make noises like a heart beat etc for newborns. He is so cute!!! Enjoy all those snuggle moments!!! We love seeing all your pictures

Look at his smile!!
What a sweet baby! I can't tell you how many times I fell asleep with my baby on the rocking chair. I would put her between me and the Boppy and she couldn't fall. Not that you ever sleep that deeply after you have a baby!
