Such a CUTE Baby!

It's so fun to watch Joshua get excited about toys. He really likes the flashing lights & music on this activity mat as evidenced by the huge, gummy smile!



Joshua is not a big fan of "tummy time." This placid expression must have been captured moments before he started crying. I think his dislike of being on his belly motivated him to roll over onto his back last week. It was a proud moment to watch him roll over on his own.



This is Joshua's first time wearing shoes... such cute, tiny shoes!



I've been attending "Stroller Strides" lately (mommy & baby exercise classes). It's fun for me & Joshua usually gets lulled to sleep in his stroller by all the jogging.

The Thumb Sucker

Joshua found his thumb at last! He has been working on this for a week or two now, but he just figured out how to do the curl-the-other-fingers-down trick, which his eyes and nose appreciate since they were getting poked all over the place before.

The Tulip Festival

Joshua & I made the trip up to Mount Vernon with some friends on what turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day. It had been hailing earlier in the day, but when the sun came out, all the clouds melted away and the tulips just glowed!


You know you've been to an amazingly beautiful place when all the pictures you took there look like postcards.


These huge rows of colored tulips were absolutely stunning!


Joshua wasn't impressed by the tulips apparently. He napped in his baby carrier the whole time we were there.

10 Signs of a Growing Baby

1. He smiles because he is happy.

2. He holds his head up.

3. He sits in his bathtub without the newborn "hammock."

4. He drinks from a bottle, which his dad loves.

5. He blows drooly bubbles.

6. He wears 3-month-old clothes.
(This is the outfit I bought for him when I was pregnant.)

7. He sleeps well.

8. He plays with toys.

9. He is fascinated by the turtles spinning around on his mobile.
