COME ON IN

"Hello and welcome to our house."
"Come on in. We'll show you around."
"Here's our big brother, Super 'Credible' (incredible) Joshy!"
"He's a little bit bigger than us, but he still likes to play with our stuff!"
"We like playing with his stuff too. We really like his toys!"

"We are really great crawlers and love exploring!"
"We don't just crawl though. We can stand if we hold on to things like the table..."

"...or the kitchen cabinets. We like to take stuff out of the drawers and cabinets too. It's like a treasure hunt. We've found some pretty good stuff!"

"We recently got a new stroller: a BOB Duallie! We like sitting in it, which is good since our mom puts us in it a lot!"
"We don't all fit in the stroller though, so sometimes one of us gets to travel backpack-style."
"We love going on walks as a family."
"We also love our big brother, Joshy. He brings us toys and snacks!"
"He shows us how to play and have fun."
"WOW! Look at that big jump!"
"Look! He's an elephant!"
"Thanks for stopping by!"

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

We went to Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery to celebrate
Memorial Day.
All of the boys loved seeing (and touching) the many flags that were on
each grave site.
Joshua had no idea what all those stones represented, but he enjoyed
walking among them anyway...
...& there were A LOT to see and walk between.
This cemetery is HUGE and overlooks the ocean as well as the city of
San Diego. It's beautiful up there!
It's quite impressive to look down these long rows of grave markers and think of all the people who have fought for our country.
Joshy had his first experience using a port-a-potty while there.
I think that is the clincher for being officially potty trained!

The little boys, this is cute little Sammy in the picture, loved having a
big grassy place to look at
and explore.
With some help, we were able to locate the grave marker of someone
Ryan knows.
CHEESE... and I'm the only one smiling at the camera, but everyone was happy and had a great time celebrating Memorial Day together!

TOO MUCH FUN

LA JOLLA SHORES
Ryan's co-residents sponsored a beach bonfire, which we all loved... especially Joshy. He couldn't contain his excitement for the chocolate part of the S'mores
and was very willing to help add wood to the fire.

Making a sand castle with Daddy and Sam
Mommy and Benjamin

Does Joshy dare go into the hole?

Yes! He dares.

DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK
We had a really fun day going on a lot of rides, climbing on some rope bridges, seeing some great shows, etc. We were terrible at taking pictures though since our hands were very occupied with boys most of the time.

Joshy driving his bug. He went on this twice since he loved it so much!
Here's our little family now...
...and here we were 4 years ago, a significantly smaller family.
Happy to be sitting in their stroller all day. Good thing it's a nice stroller!
Watching Mickey's Soundsational Parade, which Joshua could not take his eyes off of for 1 minute.

THE KISS STATUE
We walked around the San Diego Bay & stopped to take a picture by this 25' tall statue. There was a large group of tourists from Shanghai there that thought our little boys were quite the photo op. Joshua, Ben,
and Sam might be famous in Shanghai!

SEA WORLD
We got soaked during our last trip to Sea World! We unwisely sat in the 2nd row at the dolphin show. It was labeled the "Soak Zone," not the splash zone, the "SOAK" zone. I don't know why we thought we wouldn't get too wet... We got soaked! No pictures to document that though since we changed all the boys as soon as the show was over. They were pretty good sports about getting soaked with cold, salty, dolphin water.

Joshua was mesmerized by these sharks
Lucky Joshua barely cleared the 37" height requirement for jumping on this huge inflated trampoline. He loved it, but refused to leave when his time was up and an attendant had to retrieve him. I guess that's what happens when a young kid is tall. :-)
The brothers playing together in the kids' "tide pool" area
Sam & Ben loved crawling around and playing with these big squishy blocks.
Look at Sam's happy face! (Ben is in the background.)
Here's Ben making friends

FUNBELIEVABLE
We had so much fun at this indoor play ground. I hope they have something like this in Houston. It would be the ideal place to play on a hot day!

Joshy loves the ball pit!
Where is he? He's hiding... :-)

Here's Sammy riding a frog
And here's Ben in the little kid ball pit
And here's King Joshua, King of the Goofy Smiles!

SAN DIEGO ZOO SAFARI PARK
We went to the Safari Park with my parents to celebrate my birthday. It was a perfectly wonderful excursion. I couldn't have asked for a better day or a better present!

My family
(minus my brother who was "enjoying" traffic school, poor guy)

Happy Sam
Happy Ben
Joshua got to ride this animal carousel twice. So much fun!

Watching the monkeys with Grandma
Getting rained on and loving it!
Joshua loved being able to pull this handle to make water run off the roof
Pure joy!
He could not get enough of this raining roof thing...
...until he found the outdoor shower!
