My Sock Monkey

For Enrichment several months ago, we had an awesome Service Auction at which I bid on and won a "Learn How to Make a Sock Monkey" lesson. Here's the cute end result! Doesn't he look so happy and friendly . . . and reverent?

Since he is such a good sock monkey, we let him sleep in the baby's bed for now.

From Junk to Jewel

Ryan & I love watching those "fix-the-house" type shows where they make junky looking homes, rooms, and items fresh and fancy. We thought we would attempt a small such project with this chandelier purchased at DI for $6.00.

We cleaned it, painted it, removed the ruffled glass cups, and replaced the light bulbs. We think it is quite glamorous now as it illuminates our dining room table.
